Stu is an NHL Alumni, having played from 1989 to 2002 for 7 teams: the Nashville Predators, Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames, and Caroline Hurricanes. Currently he works as an NHL Network Analyst.
In 2019 Stu’s book The Grim Reaper: The Life and Career of a Reluctant Warrior was published.
